The Final Mission – NASA SCA - the emblem was developed for the shuttle carrier aircraft which delivered Discovery to Washington, DC and will also deliver Enterprise and Endeavour to their final locations. The emblem incorporates the three shuttles and three different types of aircraft that take part in the ferry flights, including the SCA, known by its tail number NASA 905. It has all three orbiters’ names, the American flag and the shuttle on top of NASA 905. There is also the C-9 Pathfinder and the T-38, videography craft flying with the SCA. The phrase “The Final Mission” is inscribed along a tab on the bottom of the emblem.
