Drink of the Astronauts" was actually a tagline during the 1960's in print and television advertisements. The other text tells how this powdered drink was the first to fly in space. There’s no solid evidence that John Glenn “enjoyed” any during his flight but later flights did have it on their menu.

That patch shows a Mercury astronaut holding a drink package, smiling and giving the  "A-Ok" sign. Now we couldn’t use the product name or logo on this patch but luckily the artist is named Timothy Alan Neil Gagnon.

This commemorative patch was designed by Tim Gagnon
