The third official NASA insignia is a modern, simplistic emblem. The emblem is rectangular with approximate dimensions of 1.5 inches high by 4 inches long. It features a white fully embroidered background with flame red continuous script lettering which simply reads "NASA". Unofficially, it has become known as the NASA "Worm". This emblem has been replaced with the NASA vector design as the official logo.
