As of March 2015, a NASA Plan Flight Planning Integration Panel (FPIP) presentation had this mission scheduled no earlier than 9 December 2015. However, following the failure of SpaceX CRS 7 on June 28, 2015, the launch date was left open and, as of December 2015, was moved to March 21, 2016. NASA later pushed this flight to June 24, June 27, and finally to July 18, 2016.
