This was 19th Atlantis mission and the 6th Shuttle/MIR docking mission. C. Michael Foale stayed aboard MIR, replacing Jerry M. Linenger who arrived on MIR from STS-81. STS-84 transferred water, logistics and returned to Earth with U. S. science materials, Russian logistics, ESA material and miscellaneous material. Landed at Kennedy Space Center, FL. May 24, 1997. Mission Duration: 9 days 5 hours 20 minutes 47 seconds.
